The Belgian professional football club is based in Anderlecht, Brussels-Capital Region. Playing in the Belgian Pro League, the club is the most successful Belgian football team in European competitions and the Belgian Pro League (34 championship wins).

The Need
R.S.C. Anderlecht was looking for a digital signage solution that could be seamlessly integrated across their stadium and internal club facilities. Their goal was to manage and display sponsorship advertisements on 140 stadium screens, as well as deliver essential updates to players through locker room displays, including schedules and operational info.
The Solution
Didier Desmet, the club’s IT Manager, discovered Digital Signage OS while researching Raspberry Pi–based solutions. After testing several alternatives, Digital Signage OS stood out as the most comprehensive and user-friendly option. One major incentive was the opportunity to access a fully functional setup with the first player unit available for free.
By adopting the cloud-based content management system offered by Digital Signage OS, the club achieved the flexibility to design, schedule, and manage three types of content across three different locations. The IT department could quickly upload and run any content produced by the media team—from PDFs to YouTube videos—on locker room screens used by the players.
The system streamlined content updates for staff, enabling them to tailor team-specific content such as training times, meal schedules, and medical check-ups. The same system was also used to manage match-specific sponsor ads shown throughout the stadium, allowing R.S.C. Anderlecht to increase revenue and optimize digital ad space across high-visibility digital totems. The centralized platform made it easy to remotely manage all digital signage content from a single interface.
